Who is responsible for your personal data?

TOWN / Towncrier is responsible for data processing (Processor within the meaning of the AVG). When we talk about Towncrier, we are referring to the legal entity NPO Stichting Transform our world Nederland. (Hereinafter: TOWN) And all the companies that fall under it. At the bottom of this statement, you will find the contact details of TOWN and Towncrier.

From whom do we collect data?

We collect personal data from our website visitors, (potential) candidates, subscribers and other interested.

Technical information and cookies

When do we process your personal data?

We collect your data from the moment you register on our website or otherwise sign up for services, e.g., (I) By subscribing to our newsletter, (II) User creates an account on our web shop, and sending out you package, (III) Registration for a digital or physical course. (IV) Participates in our online prophetic community channels, (V) when a donation is made via the website or any other medium that allows this. (VI) Participates in a gathering and or an event. (VII) Fills in a Form on our website, (VIII) Answers a poll or completes a web form, (IX) fills in a printed form, (X) sends an e-mail or communicates by phone, which is then loaded into the corresponding forms.

Why do we collect personal data?

We process personal data necessary for our services. We collect personal data:

I. where necessary, to provide for personal development, whether or not through additional training and education;

II. to support TOWN business operations;

III. to provide management information for quality control (including audits, certification, and auditing), management, policy development, operational safety, and improvement of TOWN’s business processes;

IV. to inform interested parties of interesting services provided by TOWN (including Towncrier’s Community).

V. If we would like to use your data for an entirely different purpose, we will of course first ask your permission.

VI. to search for suitable candidates.

VII. to Process transactions and comply with legal obligations to which TOWN is subject, such as tax obligations.

What personal data do we collect from you?

As mentioned above, we process personal data necessary for our services. In addition, additional data may be required to better tailor our services to your needs.

When registering for one of our services, we therefore record a limited set of data that you can supplement and/or remove on a voluntary basis. for example, Later, when you make a purchase via the web shop, we will ask you for necessary additional data, (your address details), special personal data are only recorded where necessary to meet legal obligations and/or where otherwise permitted by or pursuant to law. I – Upon registration of our newsletter, we record or may record the following data:
Name, Surname, and email address and is free to provide mobile phone number, sex, date of birth, nationality, address.

II – Upon account registration web shop as well as for community platform, we record or may record the following data:
Name, Surname, email address, address, and payment choice and is free to provide mobile phone number, sex, date of birth, nationality.

III – Of our (potential) business relations, we process:
name, (business), address, contact details and position. And may request branding components such as: Logo’s pictures and colour styles) and is free to provide mobile phone number, sex, date of birth, nationality.

Events and Gatherings

We may take photographs at events that we host or attend for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to marketing and promotional materials, our website and social media pages, and other publications. Our employees, contractors, or other authorized individuals may take these photos.
By participating in one of our events, you grant us permission to use any photographs taken of you at the event. This includes the right to use the photos for any lawful purpose, including reproduction, distribution, display, and creation of derivative works.
If you do not wish to have your photo taken or used, please let us know at the time of the event. We will make every effort to accommodate your request and will not use any photos in which you are prominently featured without your consent. Please note that it may not always be possible to fully comply with your request, particularly if you are in the background of a group photo or if your image is captured incidentally.
We reserve the right to use any photos taken at our events in accordance with this policy unless you specifically request otherwise in writing.

On what legal grounds do we process your data?

We process your data because we need it to enter or perform the agreement with you, because we are legally obliged to do so, you have given your consent or because we (or a third party) have a legitimate interest in doing so (which is in line with the purposes for which we process personal data).

With which parties do we share your data?

We may share (your) personal data with other TOWN entities, and in all other cases where we may be required to do so by, for example, a court order or judgment. If this is the case, this obviously only concerns relevant data.

Will my data be transferred to parties outside the EEA?

We do not actively transfer your data to external parties located outside the EEA. All personal data is stored within the EEA. However, we do use some applications whose technical support is located outside the EEA. To the extent that such technical support might reveal personal data, the data is protected by the fact that we only do business with parties certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield.

How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep your personal data for longer than necessary. We use the following retention periods, depending on the situation:

If you register with us or we approach you to register with us and you agree, we will retain your personal data for a maximum of 2 years after our last contact.

If you work or have worked for us, we keep your data for a maximum of 2, 5 or 7 years depending on whether and if so which legal retention period applies, unless we have a legitimate interest to keep certain data longer.

If you are a contact person of our business relation, we will keep your data for as long as you work at our business relation, or for as long as there is a legal retention obligation on it.

After expiry of the aforementioned retention period, after withdrawal of your consent or following a successful request to delete your data, we will remove your personal data from our systems.

What rights do you have in relation to your personal data?

You have the right:

I to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data;

II to inspect the personal data we process about you;

III to have incorrect personal data corrected/corrected;

IV to have your personal data deleted and/or restricted (in cases determined by law);

V to object to the processing of personal data;

VI to data transfer of your personal data;

VII to file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority.

Security

We make every effort to optimally secure your personal data against unlawful use. Confidentiality

TOWN employees are all required to maintain confidentiality. This is accomplished through a contractual duty of confidentiality that applies to all data acquired during their work. The contractual arrangements we have made with the third parties that TOWN engages for support, such as designers, volunteer staff, the payment processor, and the supplier who delivers your order to you, bind them as well. TOWN ensures that your data is handled with care and that it is not used for purposes other than those for which you provided it to us.
